10 December 2014 333B Irish Stallion Farms EBF(C&G) M'dnThe Stewards received an objection from Charles O'Brien, trainer, stating that his charge Solomon Northup (USA), placed second, had been struck across the head by the whip of the winning rider in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from Charles O'Brien, S. Foley rider of Shannon Soul, placed first and F.M. Berry rider of Solomon Northup (USA), placed second. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards overruled the objection and took no further action
333C Dundalk Stadium Light Up Your Night M'dnThe Stewards enquired into an incident early in the straight involving Broderick Falls (USA), ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced and Loyalty Card, ridden by C.R. King, unplaced, where it appeared that Loyalty Card was impeded by Broderick Falls (USA). Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental in nature and took no further action.
The Stewards informed J. L. Hassett, trainer, through his authorised representative that Mystery Again, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
C.P. Hoban, rider of Coinsiasach, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had a high knee action and did not handle the track.
C.R. King, rider of Loyalty Card trained by Augustine Leahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung in the straight.
333D Crowne Plaza Of Dundalk H'capThe Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Iontas, trained by M.Halford, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
333F Dundalk Stadium On Facebook HcapThe Stewards enquired into an incident soon after leaving the stalls involving Asknotwhat, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, Sparanai (USA), ridden by R.P. Cleary, placed fifth, Comedy Club, ridden by F.M. Berry, placed second, Zanouska (USA), ridden by E.J. McNamara, unplaced and Headlong, ridden by R. Coakley, placed third, where it appeared that some of the runners ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental in nature and took no further action.
333G Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey&Trainer HcapPaul Hennessy, trainer of Douman (USA), reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Friday 12th December that his charge was found to have stomach ulcers following this run.
